Frequently Asked Questions
What is the spouse ground transfer policy?
If both husband and wife are working as teachers in different districts under the School & Mass Education Department and if one of them is posted in KBK, KBK+ or full TSP district while the other is not, the inter-district transfer on spouse ground will be made TO the KBK/KBK+/full TSP district, subject to availability of vacancy in that category.
When am I eligible for transfer?
You are eligible for transfer when one spouse is posted in a KBK/KBK+/TSP district and the other spouse is posted in a non-KBK district. The transfer will always be made TO the KBK/KBK+/TSP district where the spouse is posted.
When am I not eligible?
You are not eligible if both spouses are already posted in the same category (both in KBK/KBK+/TSP districts or both in non-KBK districts). The rule only applies when spouses are in different categories.
What about vacancy availability?
All transfers are subject to availability of vacancy in the target KBK/KBK+/TSP district and category as per School and Mass Education's Latest guidelines. The transfer request will be processed based on available positions.
Which direction does the transfer happen?
The transfer is always TO the KBK/KBK+/TSP district. If you are in a non-KBK district and your spouse is in a KBK/KBK+/TSP district, you will be transferred to join your spouse in the KBK/KBK+/TSP district.
